This Prompt is Going Somewhere
Ed Fairburn, an artist from Dorset UK, makes original paper maps a little more interesting. Since 2012 he has been turning topographical views of complex cities into intricate portraits. In his own words, he calls this practice “hijacking cartography”. That’s why we found it only fitting that he would share his work with us over on the Inktober Instagram page with this week’s prompt “Map”.
