Hello there! I'm Sam Kempers (@samkempersart) and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be the first featured artist of Inktober52 2024! I’m from the Netherlands and I specialize in illustration and comic book artistry. My artistic journey commenced at the tender age of one when my dear mother placed crayons and a substantial piece of paper in my hands—a moment that sparked my lifelong dedication to drawing. Immersed in the realm of imagination, my inspiration sprouted from the fantastical.
Throughout my upbringing, I avidly consumed Marvel comics, and as a teenager, I was captivated by cinematic wonders such as Star Wars and immersive video game worlds like The Elder Scrolls. Sci-fi and fantasy became my creative haven. Over time, I've contributed to various comic book projects and lent my skills as a character designer to diverse endeavors. Presently, I pour my artistic endeavors into freelance work, operating from a cozy studio nestled in my hometown of Groningen.
