It's Looking Grimm at Inktober
Hello everyone! My name is Holly and I'm excited to share a little bit about myself. As a full-time wife and mother to two little ones, my days are filled with love, laughter, and chaos. But amidst the daily hustle, I'm also a part-time barber and artist. I've been working in the cosmetology industry for about 16 years, which has allowed me to explore my creative side every day. However, in recent years, I've found a new passion for drawing.
My drawing journey began in 2022, and it was during that year that I stumbled upon Inktober, a month-long drawing challenge. The challenge pushed me out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to experiment with new techniques and styles. I found that drawing became a form of relaxation for me, and it helped keep me grounded during the Covid lockdowns and the challenges of being a mom.
I'm blown away by the amount of support and friendships I've made through my art. It's amazing to connect with like-minded individuals who share my passion for creativity. I feel grateful to have found a community that supports me and encourages me to keep growing as an artist!
Each week we have a different artist share their work. These are a few of our most recent favorites!

INKTOBER52 GOES ALL YEAR LONG!
INKTOBER52 PROMPT NO.16 IS “GRIMM”
This week’s prompt "Grimm" conjures up images of dark forests, ominous castles, and, of course, fairytale horrors. As artists, we love the challenge of capturing the eerie essence of the "Grimm" theme in our work. Whether it's a twisted take on a beloved fairytale character or an entirely new creation born from the shadows, there's something deliciously satisfying about creating art that sends shivers down your spine. So, let's venture into the world of the Brothers Grimm, where the darkness is deep, the monsters are many, and the art is positively spine-chilling!
