THIS WEEK’S TAKEOVER ARTIST!
My name is Richard Liu, the face behind @RLIU01, and I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I moved around a lot, and drawing was my constant source of peace and self-expression. I’ve always had a deep admiration for marble sculptures, which led me to experiment with plaster over the past few years.
My art is a reflection of my cultural influences, and I love focusing on intricate details in my work. I recently moved to California, where I met my adorable cat, Soju! For the past two years, I’ve been dedicated to working on a single large hyperrealism painting, which marked the start of my hyperrealistic art journey.
