Artists On The Prowl
Hi, my name is Diantha Korzun and I am truly humbled to be this week’s featured Inktober artist! I am a principal in an architectural design studio in Vermont. I love to create spaces for people and communities that blend with the environment.
I am happiest when I have a pen, paintbrush, or pencil in my hand and am drawing or creating. Although I studied fine arts originally, I found a love for creating public architecture, and could use my artistic talent in creating spaces. My love for wildlife and the natural world is the main theme of my art outside of the architectural studio.
My husband and I are fortunate to live in such a beautiful place, and enjoy skiing, hiking and climbing in our free time. I hope you enjoy my story! Check out more on the Inktober Instagram page today!
Each week we have a different artist share their work. These are a few of our most recent favorites!
Dragostin Kiryakov, Chloe Gendron, Cho-Hyun Kim, Baptiste Chatellier
INKTOBER52 GOES ALL YEAR LONG!
INKTOBER52 PROMPT NO.15 IS “PROWL”
To prowl is to roam stealthy with the intent to plunder. As a wildlife artist, I love to understand the movements and motivations of creatures. Cats are notorious for prowling while approaching prey. Burglars prowl as well while looking for loot. What is your interpretation of prowl? I think of it as trying to approach something as quietly as you can.
