An Angel From Canada
Hello, my name is Angelo Di Martino! As a Canadian-born Visual Artist, I am truly honored to be this week's featured Inktober artist. My passion for art began at a young age and has only continued to flourish throughout my career. With a background in Illustration from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, I have honed my technical skills in a variety of mediums such as airbrush, paint, pen and ink, graphite, and charcoal. My early career was filled with diverse projects, from creating art pieces on motorcycle and goalie helmets to designing wall murals for children's nurseries and restaurants. In recent years, I have dedicated myself to exploring the world of fine art, constantly pushing myself to become a better version of my artistic self.
I consider myself to be a versatile artist, like a Swiss Army Knife of the art world. My lack of a specific style or subject keeps me from becoming stagnant and bored. My background in illustration has allowed me to take on a wide range of projects, each with its own unique style and medium. Some of the artists that inspire me include Bernie Wrightson, Franklin Booth, John Singer Sargent, and Rembrandt, to name a few.
When I'm not creating art, I run a small sign shop in my hometown. Talk about being a jack of all trades! My studio is located in the basement of my home, where I live with my wife and two boys. It is a peaceful and inspiring space that allows me to focus on my craft and continue to grow as an artist.
